Vikram Kasat - Chief Business Officer – Advisory and Dealing at PL Capital
“Indian equity markets traded higher, with the Sensex and Nifty gaining around 0.6%, despite weak broader-market participation. IT and pharma stocks supported the benchmarks, while midcaps and smallcaps declined nearly 0.9% and 1.6%, respectively, indicating continued caution among investors. However, Brent crude hovering around $115 per barrel, amid escalating Middle East tensions, remains a key concern for India’s import bill, inflation and currency stability. The rupee opened at ₹95.22 against the dollar, while gold remained volatile amid inflation concerns and uncertainty over the US Federal Reserve’s monetary policy. Going forward, earnings resilience and domestic flows could support equities, but sustained foreign outflows and elevated crude prices warrant selective positioning, with preference for fundamentally strong companies.”

Vikas Gupta, CEO, Omniscience Capital on rising Oil prices
Oil prices spiked significantly in October mostly in reaction to the possibility of a short, intense US military strike against Iran post the mid-terms. The Houthi attack on Saudi refineries and the East-West pipeline added to the concerns, while the Strait of Hormuz remains strangled. A sudden surge in shipping costs and demand coming from China were other factors.
However, November could be quite different. While the US reserves are at the lowest levels since 1982, the emergency European reserves release could put a significant downward pressure on oil prices. Further, if the US goes through with its intense strikes against Iran and then potentially declares a unilateral ceasefire, oil prices could cool down significantly. Global output could also be nearing normal levels soon. Also China’s demand is expected to continue going down due to massive EV adoption. However, if the US-Iran war doesn’t settle down the prices could remain elevated.

Gold price falls below $4,000 as Fed rate hike bets rise: Gaurav Garg, Head - Research, Lemonn
Gold has slipped below the crucial $4,000 mark as stronger-than-expected US inflation data and rising expectations of a December Fed rate hike are reducing demand for non-yielding assets. Silver is facing heavier selling pressure, with its decline reflecting broader weakness across precious metals and concerns over industrial demand. Gold’s immediate focus is whether buyers can defend the $4,000 psychological level.WTI crude is holding above $104 as renewed Houthi attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure and a tanker incident near the Strait of Hormuz keep supply-security concerns alive. The market is balancing these risks against diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran. The rupee is trading marginally weaker around ₹95.27 per dollar. A softer US dollar and declining Treasury yields are providing some support, but rising crude prices are increasing India’s import-cost concerns and limiting currency gains.

Bitcoin outlook | CoinSwitch
BTC slipped below $80K as cautious sentiment returned following the Federal Reserve’s decision to hold rates at 3.75%–4%, while signalling the possibility of further tightening. Despite US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracting approximately $424 million over three consecutive sessions, buying momentum has struggled to support prices. A broader selloff across risk assets has added pressure. Looking ahead, $78K remains a key support level, while reclaiming $80K–$81K will be important for recovery said CoinSwitch Markets Desk

Gold, Silver Price Outlook | Ashish Rajodiya, Head of Commodities, PL Capital.
Gold and silver are under pressure after a hawkish Fed hold, with MCX gold at ₹1,41,882 per 10 grams, down ₹714, and MCX silver at ₹1,86,262 per kg, down ₹3,191 or 1.68%. Spot gold has slipped to $3,991 an ounce, down 0.70%, while spot silver has fallen 1.60% to $51.27, its weakest in at least eleven months, pushing the gold-silver ratio to around 78. The Fed kept rates at 3.75–4.00% in a 10–2 vote, with Governor Lisa Cook and Cleveland Fed President Beth Hammack dissenting in favour of a hike, while Chair Kevin Warsh said inflation remains elevated. Data since then has reinforced that stance. US growth came in at 3.4% against 3.2% expected, core PCE ran at 2.5% against 2.4%, and jobless claims fell to 194,000, lifting the odds of a December hike to about 83%. Treasury yields have eased, but strong data keeps the dollar supported and the metals on the defensive. The Fed’s December 8–9 meeting and the next inflation and jobs prints are the next tests. Softer data that fades hike bets could spark a recovery in both metals, while further hot readings would deepen the losses, with silver likely to fall faster than gold.

Chief Research Officer at Augmont, writes on Inflation Data, Oil and a Hawkish Fed Push Gold and Silver Below Key Support
- Price Movement – Gold and silver kept sliding as higher oil prices revived inflation worries, and strong US inflation data strengthened the case for another Federal Reserve rate hike this year. Consumer prices picked up in September because gasoline and other goods cost more, so economists still expect the Fed to raise rates in December.
- Geopolitical Tensions – Crude rose on fears that the US could resume military strikes on Iran, which raises the risk of fresh disruptions to energy supplies. That matters for metals: higher oil feeds inflation and makes the interest-rate outlook harder to read.
- Macro-Economic Signals – The Fed has left the door open to a hike before year-end as it tries to tame stubborn inflation. Thursday’s data backed that view: the US personal consumption expenditures price index rose 0.5% last month, its biggest jump since March. According to CME’s FedWatch Tool, traders now see about a 75% chance of a December hike.
Technical Triggers
- Short-term (10-15 days) - Gold has slipped below its key $4,000 (₹1,42,000) support, which leaves room for a further drop towards $3,950 (₹1,40,000) and $3,900 (₹1,38,000). Silver has also broken its $52.5 (₹1,92,000) support and could drift towards $50 (₹1,80,000).
- Medium term (2-3 Months) – Both metals are trying to build a base, gold around $3,900–3,950 and silver around $50–52. We see these as strong support and accumulation zones. We expect prices to hold here and then rebound 10–15% over the coming weeks. For the uptrend to resume, gold needs to stay above $4,100 and silver above $58.

Crypto Market Outlook | Riya Sehgal, Research Analyst, Delta Exchange
Crypto markets came under sharp selling pressure over the past 24 hours, with Bitcoin falling toward $77,500 and Ethereum near $2,210 as several risk factors converged. Strong US growth and persistent inflation have kept higher-for-longer rate concerns alive, while weakness in US technology stocks added to risk aversion. Microsoft delivered resilient results, but concerns around heavy AI spending and Amazon’s post-earnings weakness weighed on broader sentiment.
Crypto-specific uncertainty around the reported Binance security incident added further pressure. Once Bitcoin lost the key $80,000 level, forced deleveraging accelerated the decline, with roughly $800 million in crypto positions liquidated, predominantly longs. Bitcoin volatility reflected the stress, surging from around 36–37 to above 42 and briefly approaching 44 before easing toward 39.
Technically, BTC has broken below the $78,000–$80,000 demand region on elevated volume and remains below its major four-hour EMAs. $76,500–$77,000 is immediate support, followed by $75,000–$76,000, while reclaiming $80,000–$80,700 would signal initial stabilization. Ethereum remains relatively weaker, with $2,200, $2,160 and $2,100 as key supports. A relief bounce is possible as leverage and volatility cool, but a sustained recovery requires recently lost levels to be reclaimed alongside an improvement in broader risk sentiment.

Bitcoin price today: BTC slips below $79,000 as selling pressure triggers crypto market correction: Avinash Shekhar, Co-Founder & CEO, Pi42
“Bitcoin slipped below the $79,000 mark amid heightened selling pressure and a broader decline in cryptocurrency prices. The correction was further intensified by significant liquidations, particularly in long positions, reflecting cautious investor sentiment. Major cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum, XRP and Solana, also faced selling pressure, although continued institutional interest and developments across the digital asset ecosystem remain important drivers of longer-term market sentiment.
In the near term, Bitcoin’s ability to hold the $79,000–$80,000 range will be crucial, while a sustained recovery above $80,000 could help restore market confidence. Investors should avoid impulsive decisions during sharp price movements, maintain disciplined position sizing and closely monitor institutional flows, macroeconomic developments and broader market trends before taking fresh positions.” - Avinash Shekhar, Co-Founder & CEO, Pi42

IndiGo’s Q2FY27 loss narrows to ₹1,879 cr; high fuel costs weigh
Persistently high fuel costs, along with rupee depreciation and seasonal weakness, weighed on airline major IndiGo’s (InterGlobe Aviation) financial performance during the second quarter of fiscal year 2026-27.
The airline’s consolidated net loss narrowed to ₹1,879 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, against a loss of ₹2,582 crore in the corresponding period last year. However, sequentially, the airline’s consolidated net loss widened nearly eightfold from ₹238 crore in the first quarter of FY27.
The narrower year-on-year loss reflected a lower net foreign exchange impact, which declined to about ₹1,155 crore from ₹2,686 crore a year earlier.

Commodity Outlook | Darshan Desai, CEO, Aspect Bullion & Refinery
“Gold prices remained volatile through the week but recovered some ground after the sharp correction in the previous week. Changing expectations around US interest rates, dollar movements and geopolitical developments continued to influence market sentiment.
From the Indian bullion industry’s perspective, buying remains measured. While the recent correction has encouraged some consumers to return to the market, elevated prices are keeping buyers cautious. Overall, the market is showing signs of stabilisation, but volatility is likely to continue, with global economic cues and currency movements driving prices in the coming days.”

Rupee to benefit from dollar retreat, plunging US yields; oil surge tempers impact
The Indian rupee is likely to draw support from a retreat in the dollar and a plunge in US Treasury yields at Friday’s open, although another surge in oil prices could still weigh on the currency.
The rupee is expected to open flat to marginally higher, per traders, having settled at 95.26 to the dollar on Thursday.
A fresh bout of AI-related jitters sparked a flight to safety in markets, driving investors into US Treasuries, pushing the two-year yield down 8 basis points to its lowest level in seven weeks. The 10-year Treasury yield slipped to 4.90%, down 46 basis points from its recent peak.

Oil spike may erode govt bond gains before debt sale
India government bonds may weaken early on Friday as a surge in oil prices clouds the economic outlook ahead of a fresh domestic debt supply, tempering relief from a rally in US Treasuries.
Brent crude spiked 2.3% in Asian trading to $117.7, its highest intraday level since April 30, on the US-Iran war uncertainty.
The oil jolt is likely to offset a sharp decline in US yields, with the 10-year yield down 9 bps to 4.9122%.
The benchmark 6.94% 2036 bond yield may open 2 to 3 basis points higher, according to a private-bank trader, after closing at 7.3902% on Thursday. The yield has eased 8.5 bps so far this week, but is up 20 bps for the month. (Reuters)

Bitcoin Outlook | Nischal Shetty, Founder, WazirX
“Bitcoin and Ethereum tested important long-term levels as persistent inflation, expensive energy and weaker global equities reduced market participation. Bitcoin traded near $76,402 after falling 4.42%, while Ethereum declined 5.41% to around $2,183. Despite the pullback, continued Bitcoin ETF inflows and both assets remaining near established support zones indicate that institutional and spot-market interest has not disappeared.
Bitcoin is testing support between $76,100 and $76,400, close to its longer-term daily averages. The next support region sits at $73,100-$73,500, while $77,700-$78,400 forms the first recovery barrier. Remaining above immediate support could help the structure stabilize, while reclaiming resistance would signal improving participation.
Ethereum moved below the psychological $2,200 level, bringing $2,150-$2,180 into focus as immediate support. Resistance now sits around $2,250-$2,320. Futures traders may look for stronger volume and rising open interest alongside balanced funding before interpreting any resistance test as a sustained recovery.
The broader economic picture remained mixed. US GDP accelerated to 3.4% in the third quarter, supported by consumer spending and investment, while employment remained firm. However, PCE inflation increased to 3.6%, exports declined and elevated energy costs kept pressure on financial conditions. The Federal Reserve and European Central Bank held rates, providing policy stability, while lower Treasury yields offered some liquidity relief. Strong growth reduces recession concerns, but persistent inflation may limit expectations of near-term monetary easing.
Global markets reflected this caution. The Nasdaq fell 1.38%, while the S&P 500 and Dow declined modestly. In Asia, the KOSPI dropped 5.13% and the Nikkei lost 2.87%, although the Sensex gained 1.24% and the Hang Seng rose 0.81%. Gold eased 0.40%, while oil climbed 2.47%, maintaining inflation concerns.
Institutional activity remained divided. US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $137.3 million, led by BlackRock’s IBIT, while Ethereum ETFs recorded $21.4 million in outflows. Bitcoin’s decline despite fresh ETF demand shows that fund allocations cannot independently determine price direction. Derivatives liquidations, profit-taking, exchange supply and wider macro pressure can temporarily outweigh institutional buying before its impact appears in spot markets.”

Crypto Market Analysis | Vikram Subburaj, CEO, Giottus.com
Bitcoin fell to a six-week low of $77,646 on October 30 as a suspected security incident at Binance triggered a broader sell-off. The exchange said it was investigating a potential security issue, while industry participants had frozen more than $2.5 billion in assets linked to the incident. Immediate support is around $76,600, followed by $75,200. Resistance lies near $78,100, with $79,300 as the next level. A sustained recovery above these levels will be needed to ease near-term pressure.
ETF flows had turned positive before the latest setback. US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded inflows of $110.3 million on October 26, $176 million on October 27 and $137.3 million on October 28. This marked three consecutive sessions of inflows. However, the recovery in institutional demand has not yet translated into price stability. October 29 flow data remain preliminary and should be treated cautiously.
On-chain indicators point to weak underlying demand. CryptoQuant reported that Bitcoin’s 30-day apparent demand stood at minus 76,000 BTC on October 25. Its Coinbase Premium Index was also negative throughout October up to October 25. Glassnode identified substantial bids around 78,000-79,000, while the True Market Mean stood near $77,900. These levels will be important in assessing whether buyers return.
Large-cap altcoins were broadly lower. Ethereum traded at Rs. 2,13,165, down 17.00%. BNB was at Rs. 66,195, down 9.35%. XRP stood at Rs. 117.51, down 18.39%, while Solana traded at Rs. 9,068.48, down 20.23%. TRON bucked the trend at Rs. 34.13, up 5.34%.
Macro pressure is building. The Fed held rates at 3.75%–4.00%, but September PCE inflation accelerated to 3.6% annually. Markets were pricing an 84.6% probability of a December rate hike, according to Reuters. US employment-cost data and Fed commentary are the next near-term triggers.
Our advice: Investors should avoid aggressive buying during the sell-off. Watch Bitcoin’s $76,600 support, the Binance investigation and the direction of ETF flows before increasing exposure.

Gold Steadies Near $4,000 as Inflation Keeps Rate-Hike Bets Firm
Gold steadied near $4,000 an ounce, and was on track for a second monthly loss, as energy-led inflation raised the prospects for a US rate increase before year-end.
Bullion was little changed after shedding 1.1% in the previous session. The Federal Reserve left the door open for an interest-rate hike before the end of the year to rein in stubborn inflation, and data released Thursday showed a 0.5% rise in the US personal consumption expenditures price index last month. That’s the most since March.
The precious metal has declined more than 3% in October as concerns around renewed fighting in the Middle East keep energy prices elevated. Oil rose on signs that the US may resume military strikes against Iran after next week’s midterm elections.

Fed rate hold offers little comfort to Indian markets as two members seek a hike
The US Federal Reserve’s decision to keep interest rates unchanged may offer some near-term relief to Indian equities, but two policymakers voting for a rate hike are expected to keep concerns over global liquidity and foreign investor flows alive.
The Fed on Wednesday kept its benchmark federal funds rate unchanged at 3.75-4 per cent in a 10-2 vote, as widely expected. Governors Lisa Cook and Beth Hammack favoured a 25-basis-point increase, signalling concerns over persistent inflation even as the central bank chose to wait for more economic data. Readmore
