PM Kisan 24th Instalment: Farmers are eagerly waiting for PM Kisan's 24th instalment. Now that the government has confirmed October 30, 2026, as the release date for the 24th instalment, the farmers are at ease and awaiting the instalment to be credited in the next 5 days, as the release date has been confirmed. The 23rd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) was disbursed on June 20, 2026. The funds were transferred through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, ensuring transparency and eliminating intermediaries. Under the scheme, each eligible farmer family receives annual financial assistance of Rs 6,000. This is disbursed in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism into Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts. The significant factor that draws attention here is: 'Will 10 lakh farmers not benefit from the scheme? '
PM Kisan 24th Instalment: Will 10 lakh farmers miss the next payment?
According to the official PM-Kisan X account, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 24th instalment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme on October 30, 2026, transferring over Rs 18,680 crore to the bank accounts of more than 9.34 crore beneficiary farmers. However, data from the 23rd instalment shows that over 9.44 crore farmers received financial assistance under the scheme. This difference of around 10 lakh beneficiaries raises questions about whether these farmers will miss the upcoming instalment or whether the gap reflects changes in beneficiary data, eligibility verification or other factors.
PM-Kisan: Why can your instalment be stopped? Check 5 key reasons
According to the official information provided on the PM-KISAN portal, some cases have been identified where farmers' eligibility is in doubt. These include two main types of cases:
Land acquired after February 1, 2019: Some cases are being investigated for farmers who acquired land ownership after this date. Under the scheme rules, eligibility verification may be necessary in such cases.
Multiple family members availing benefits: Cases where a husband and wife or an adult member and a minor are availing benefits of the scheme are also being investigated.
According to the portal, in such cases where eligibility is in doubt, the assistance amount may be temporarily withheld until physical verification is completed. Only after verification and document verification will it be determined whether the farmer can be granted benefits under the scheme.
However, it would be premature to consider these cases a definitive explanation for the potential reduction in the number of beneficiaries for the 24th instalment. Official confirmation is awaited on how many farmers will not receive the Rs 2,000 instalment this time, and the reasons behind it.
PM-Kisan 24th Instalment: Complete these 3 steps to avoid payment delays
The Agriculture Ministry has advised PM-Kisan beneficiaries to complete the necessary formalities on time, including e-KYC, Aadhaar seeding of bank accounts, and land record verification. If any of these requirements remain incomplete, farmers may face difficulties receiving their instalment. Therefore, beneficiaries should check their PM-Kisan status before the 24th instalment is released.
Complete e-KYC: e-KYC is mandatory under the PM-Kisan scheme. Farmers who have not yet completed the process should do so as soon as possible. They can use the e-KYC facility available on the official PM-Kisan website.
Ensure Aadhaar seeding of bank accounts: PM-Kisan benefits are transferred directly to beneficiaries' bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Therefore, farmers should ensure that their bank accounts are properly linked to Aadhaar and that Aadhaar seeding requirements have been completed. If there are any discrepancies in their banking or Aadhaar details, they should contact their bank to get them corrected.
Get land records verified: Land record verification is an important requirement for receiving benefits under the PM-Kisan scheme. Farmers should ensure that their names and other relevant details are correctly recorded in the land records. If there are any errors or the verification process is incomplete, they should contact the relevant authorities to resolve the issue.
PM-Kisan Beneficiary List: How to check if your name is on the list
Step 1: Go to the official website of PM Kisan, pmkisan.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the Farmer Corner option on the home page.
Step 3: Select the 'Beneficiary List ' option.
Step 4: Now select your State, District, Sub-District, Block and Village in the form that opens.
Step 5: After filling in all the necessary information, click on 'Get Report'.
Step 6: The list of PM Kisan beneficiaries of your village will open on the screen. Check your name.
If your name appears on the list, you are eligible as a beneficiary. However, simply being on the list doesn't guarantee receiving an instalment. e-KYC, Aadhaar seeding, land record verification, and other eligibility criteria must also be met.
