Nandyal SP inspects nomination centres; warns against violations

Nandyal district Superintendent of Police Sunil Shoran on Friday inspected MPTC and ZPTC nomination centres on the third day of the nomination process and directed police to maintain tight security to prevent untoward incidents.

He visited Nandyal Government College and nomination centres in Sirivella and Rudravaram to assess security arrangements. He instructed officers to monitor proceedings through CCTV cameras and videography, deploying drones if necessary.

The SP urged candidates, political representatives and the public to strictly follow election rules. He warned against rallies, unnecessary gatherings and bringing large numbers of supporters to nomination centres.

Only authorised vehicles and permitted persons would be allowed near the centres, he said. Mr. Shoran appealed to all stakeholders to cooperate with police, assuring a peaceful and free electoral process. Violations would invite legal action.
