Infosys headcount rises by 4,480 to 3.33 lakh in Q2 FY27; attrition eases to 12.7%

Infosys Workforce: Software professionals account for majority

Of the 332,542 employees reported at the end of September, 314,508 were software professionals, while 18,034 worked in sales and support roles. The number of software professionals increased by 4,469 quarter-on-quarter, from 310,039 in June 2026 to 314,508 in September. Employees in sales and support rose by 11, from 18,023 to 18,034, over the same period. Voluntary attrition has moderated over the past year, indicating that fewer employees are leaving the company on their own. The proportion of women employees also increased to 39.8 per cent in September 2026, compared with 39.6 per cent in June and 39.5 per cent in September 2025.
