Hyundai Creta 2026 vs Honda Elevate

The 2026 Honda Elevate facelift and the Hyundai Creta continue to target buyers looking for a feature-loaded midsize SUV, but their top-end variants take different approaches. Honda has updated the Elevate with fresh styling, additional comfort features and improved parking assistance, while the Creta offers a wider choice of engines and a more extensive range of premium cabin features.

For this comparison, the Honda Elevate ZX+ Black CVT is placed against the Hyundai Creta King petrol automatic. The Creta is also available in King Knight variants, with equipment and powertrain availability varying by trim.

Honda Elevate ZX+ Black CVT: Price, engine and features

Honda launched the 2026 Elevate facelift in India on October 6, introducing a revised exterior design and a more feature-rich cabin. The top-spec ZX+ Black CVT is priced at Rs 18.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the standard ZX+ CVT costs Rs 18.30 lakh.

The facelift brings a redesigned grille, updated LED lighting signatures, a connected LED tail-lamp treatment and gloss-black styling elements. The cabin gets a dual-tone ivory-and-black theme, premium leather upholstery and ambient lighting.

The Elevate ZX+ adds powered front seats, with eight-way adjustment for the driver and four-way adjustment for the front passenger. It also gets ventilated front and rear seats, a 360-degree surround-view camera and front parking sensors. Honda has retained the SUV's single-pane sunroof rather than adopting the panoramic unit available in some rivals.

Power comes from a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 121 hp and 145 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic, with the latter available on the ZX+ Black variant. The SUV also gets Honda Sensing driver-assistance technology, including features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance and collision-mitigation braking.

Hyundai Creta King: Price, engine and features

The Hyundai Creta's King range sits near the top of the manufacturer's midsize SUV lineup. Unlike the Elevate, which is offered with one petrol engine, the Creta offers a choice of naturally aspirated petrol, turbo-petrol and diesel powertrains, depending on the variant and transmission. Hyundai's official feature list includes the King and King Knight trims, with the turbo-petrol DCT offered in the King Knight configuration.

The Creta's 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 115 hp and 144 Nm, while the 1.5-litre diesel develops 116 hp and 250 Nm. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 160 hp and 253 Nm and is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The top-spec Creta offers a panoramic sunroof, dual 10.25-inch displays for infotainment and the digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control and an eight-speaker Bose sound system. Other equipment includes connected-car technology, wireless smartphone charging and an electronic parking brake with auto hold. Select automatic versions also receive smart cruise control with stop-and-go functionality.

The King Knight adds a darker visual treatment, including matte-black alloy wheels and black exterior accents. Buyers should check the exact variant's equipment list before comparing it with the Elevate ZX+ Black, as the King, King Knight and their different powertrain versions do not necessarily offer identical features.

Which top-spec SUV makes more sense?

The Honda Elevate ZX+ Black CVT is worth considering for buyers who prioritise a straightforward petrol powertrain, rear-seat comfort and the convenience of a 360-degree camera. Its newly added rear ventilated seats and powered front seats are notable additions to the 2026 model.

The Hyundai Creta King, meanwhile, offers greater choice for buyers who want stronger performance, a diesel engine or a turbo-petrol automatic. Its panoramic sunroof, dual-screen setup and Bose audio system also give it an advantage in terms of cabin technology and entertainment features.

The final choice depends on the buyer's priorities. The Elevate focuses on a naturally aspirated petrol engine and practical comfort upgrades, while the Creta offers a broader powertrain range and a more extensive set of premium features. Before making a purchase, buyers should compare the latest variant-specific prices and equipment lists at their local dealership.
