GTA 6 launch: The Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) launch could see around 1.5 million US workers skipping their work on November 19, which would potentially cost the country’s economy close to billion dollars in lost productivity, as per reports, citing an economics professor’s projection.

GTA 6 Price: Standard edition costs $79.99, ultimate version to cost $99.99

Rockstar Games has set the price of Grand Theft Auto VI at $79.99 for the Standard Edition and USD 99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, ahead of its November release. The UK prices are EUR 69.99 and EUR 89.99, and the game launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only.

According to gaming outlets, Rockstar revealed the price on 24 June 2026 and opened pre-orders the next day. There are two editions, priced the same on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders placed before 20 November include the Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital pre-orders also come with one month of GTA+.

The final price is well below some of the speculation that preceded it. Earlier rumours suggested GTA 6 could sell for as much as USD 150, more than double the usual price of a big-budget game on current consoles. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick had hinted in an interview that the price would sit between USD 70 and USD 80. The Standard Edition falls at the top of that range.

The launch carries heavy financial weight for the publisher. Take-Two's guidance of USD 8 billion to USD 8.2 billion in net bookings for fiscal 2027 is based on a 19 November release, a date Zelnick reaffirmed on the company's earnings call on 21 May.

GTA 6 leak: Footage reveals first-person mode, nudity and cutscenes

A fresh wave of leaks involving GTA 6 has reportedly surfaced online, with a user or group operating under the name Cyberleek dropping a 24-minute gameplay footage that has sparked spoiler concerns among fans ahead of the game’s official release on November 19.

The new footage reportedly includes story-related cutscenes, glimpses of playable characters Jason and Lucia, and a first-person driving perspective.

The video titled, “GTA 6: An Extended Leek”, has prompted fans to warn others about potential spoilers. The footage also shows Jason and Lucia nude, with full-frontal nudity reportedly visible in Jason’s case. However, it remains unclear whether these elements reflect features intended for the final game or were enabled using development tools., as per media reports.

India prices, editions, pre-order bonus and more

Rockstar Games has opened pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI in India, with the Standard Edition priced at Rs 5,999 and the Ultimate Edition at Rs 7,499.

The game launches on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a PC version for the launch window.

The Standard Edition includes the main game, which is a single-player experience at launch. In the US, it costs USD 79.99, about USD 10 above the USD 70 price common for big-budget titles.

The Ultimate Edition adds exclusive vehicles, weapons, outfits and other items. Rockstar's listing also mentions a second garage, a car restoration activity, extra content woven into the story, exclusive shops and cosmetic sets. It costs USD 99.99 in the US and is sold digitally only. Standard Edition owners can buy an upgrade later, though the upgrade price has not been confirmed.
