BookMyShow has clarified that reports claiming Diljit Dosanjh’s AURA India Tour concert in New Delhi on October 30 has been cancelled are inaccurate. The company said the event’s permission had been temporarily withheld pending additional safety, traffic and crowd-management measures requested by Delhi Police but has since been reconsidered and issued.

In a statement, BookMyShow Live said it had submitted a detailed plan addressing the requirements specified by the authorities and assured full compliance with all applicable security, traffic and crowd-management norms.

“Following these discussions and the submission of the requisite plan, permission for the event has been reconsidered and issued,” the company said.

The clarification comes amid reports of uncertainty surrounding the concert, with the company confirming that the event will proceed as planned. Fans can therefore look forward to attending the Delhi leg of Diljit Dosanjh’s AURA India Tour on October 30.

BookMyShow assures safety measures for Diljit Dosanjh concert

BookMyShow Live said it remains committed to working closely with Delhi Police and other relevant authorities to ensure the concert is conducted safely and smoothly.

The company added that the arrangements would focus on security, traffic management and crowd control, while also minimising inconvenience to local residents and commuters.

The additional requirements were sought by Delhi Police in view of the festive season, when increased public movement and large gatherings can place additional demands on traffic and security arrangements.

BookMyShow thanked fans for their patience and understanding, reiterating that the concert would go ahead as scheduled. “We look forward to welcoming you to an unforgettable evening with Diljit Dosanjh,” the company said in its statement.

The initial denial of permission had raised uncertainty over the event, with Delhi Police citing specific threat-related inputs and security commitments during the festive season.

Following discussions between the authorities and the organisers, the required clearance was granted on October 23, allowing preparations for the October 30 performance to continue. The development brings relief to fans who had been awaiting clarity on the concert’s status.
